A honeypot is a computer security mechanism set to detect attempts at unauthorized access to the enterprise network. The acquired technology in designing the antivirus give us the possibility to build a strong honeypot with an advanced alarm system.
In other words: a server will be sacrificated as perfect target for hackers, a sentinel application will detects system access and changes and will alert the network administrator.
Thanks to the real-time connection with the antivirus, you can decide, in advance, the countermeasures to be implemented. Ranging from a simple data back up to the total block of all connections. The power of MultiAntivirus in fact, is based not only on its opensource component, but also on its wide customization.

MultiAntivirus Honeypot (aka MultiHoneypot) does not just raise an alarm, but is capable of making individual network PCs or servers react to the threat by securing data.
For this to happen MultiAntiviurs or one of its active components must be installed on the PC/Server where the reaction to the threat is desired.
MultiHoneypot can signal an alarm both inside the computer domain and in the material world with hardware (e.g. by turning on red LED strips inside the office)
